ChicagoTribune.com Publishes Article by Lisa Page
Design firm president makes the business case for usable web sites
West Dundee, IL—February 8, 2002—ChicagoTribune.com recently published an article by Lisa Page, president of Logica3. Entitled 'How to develop a Web site worth using,' the article outlines the business case for web site usability and provides a checklist for companies to assess and enhance the usability of their sites.
“If a corporate web site doesn't work the way a user expects it to—or if it frustrates them—they are likely to pursue more expensive means of getting your attention (such as call-center support or ordering by phone), or they will become your competitor's customer,” writes Page.
“At best, you've lost a chance to realize a return on your Web site investment. At worst, you've lost a customer who may be difficult and expensive to lure back. Either way, you've failed to meet a customer's needs and have likely diminished your company's brand.”
In addition to writing on design and usability-related topics, Ms. Page is available to speak to corporate groups and meetings.
