Logica3 Helps U.S. Congressional Candidate Carolyn Grant Win Primary Election

Innovative Web Communication Tool Plays Valuable Role in Close Election

West Dundee, IL—September 12, 2002—An innovative web communication tool that allows political candidates and their supporters to “spread the word” helped spur Carolyn Grant's republican primary victory in North Carolina's 13th Congressional District on Tuesday. Logica3, a marketing communications firm in the Chicago area, implemented the web-based tool and created the web site for the Raleigh republican.

The tool, which resides on the web site, allows supporters to easily and efficiently send targeted messages to friends, colleagues and interested parties selected by the sender. The sender can choose specific messages on a variety of issues that have been provided by the Grant campaign. Campaign staff can immediately view the number of email messages sent and the messages they contain.

“The ability for my supporters to help spread our message quickly to key audiences played an important role in our primary victory,” stated Carolyn Grant. “Logica3 provided my campaign with an effective web site that gave us a positive image and was able to make a difference in a close race.” Grant won the primary election by 165 votes.

“The tool is not complicated or difficult to implement and can be very effective for applications in which you want your network of contacts to help you communicate with new audiences and still maintain control over the content of the messages,” said Mike Mangi of Logica3. “This technique has several advantages over traditional communication methods, such as direct mail, by providing an instantaneous message to targeted audiences at a fraction of the cost.”
