Logica3 Provides Global Human Resources Firm with User Experience Design for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software
West Dundee, IL—January 14, 2004—Hewitt Associates, a global outsourcing and consulting firm that delivers human capital management services, selected Logica3 to provide user experience design and usability consulting for a large enterprise resource planning (ERP) application. The software, a resource management tool, streamlines the process of matching available, qualified associates with openings on project teams.
With the new system, each associate is responsible for maintaining his or her skill profile and project preference data. Since the tool's success hinged upon widespread usage and acceptance among the employee population, usability was a major concern for Hewitt's development team. This focus on usability yielded a streamlined interface that decreases the time required to enter data, allowing managers and associates to concentrate on billable projects.
With Logica3's user experience design and usability consulting, Hewitt Associates was able to reduce system-training time. Since the application is easier to use, associates are able to get in and out quickly, which equates to a decrease in non-billable time.
