Logica3 Signs “Design Can Change” Pledge
West Dundee, IL—September 18, 2008—As a step toward its commitment to sustainability, Logica3 recently signed the Design Can Change pledge. Design Can Change is an initiative aimed at uniting the worldwide design community to raise awareness of sustainability and find ways to minimize the impact of our work on the environment.
At the core of the initiative is a pledge that asks for a designer's commitment to a sustainable practice and green mindset. The pledge's five guidelines require that each participant engage in the topic, consider their choices carefully, put their knowledge to use, share information with others, and unite with the community to spark change.
“Sustainability is shaping up to be one of the most important business issues in the 21st century,” stated Lisa Dombrowski, president of Logica3. “We are very pleased to be part of a global effort to both raise awareness of the problems and find creative ways to make a difference.”
Logica3 will also work with its clients to become more resource efficient. New core services of the company include establishing internal and external environmental communication policies for clients, developing new and innovative corporate communication strategies that are environmentally friendly or carbon neutral, and designing printed materials (e.g., a brochure, self-mailer, annual report) with consideration of their life cycles.
Logica3 has appointed Lindsey Sutkus as the firm's director of green communications. Sutkus will be responsible for tracking green trends and techniques and identifying ways in which green practices can be implemented both internally and into a client's general business practice.
